Household Business Accounting in Vietnam

Quick answer

From 2026, household businesses in Vietnam no longer pay a fixed presumptive tax. They declare their actual revenue, keep simple books and, above the revenue threshold, use e-invoices. Our household business package starts at VND 500,000 per month and covers declarations, books and e-invoice support.

Who this service is for

A household business is registered in the name of a Vietnamese individual or family. It is common for small shops, restaurants, homestays and service providers. Foreign investors cannot register a household business; if you are a foreign investor, see company formation instead.

What changed in 2026

  • The fixed presumptive tax ended. Households declare their actual revenue by period.
  • Households below the revenue threshold pay no VAT or PIT but still declare revenue and keep records.
  • Households above the threshold keep books and issue e-invoices, often from a cash register connected to the tax system.
  • The annual business licence fee was abolished from 1 January 2026.

What we do

  • Advise on the declaration method and the tax rates for your line of business.
  • Keep the revenue and expense books in the required format.
  • Set up and support e-invoices.
  • File the declarations and remind you of payment deadlines.

Prices start at VND 500,000 per month. See pricing.
